Bighorn Baseball

Posted on March 24, 2010

Nevada Bighorn Baseball is a nonprofit corporation organized to bring a collegiate-level summer baseball program to the Capitol City and surrounding areas.

Nevada Bighorn Baseball will allow collegiate and graduating high school players from Carson City, Douglas, Lyon and Washoe Counties to compete against collegiate and semi-pro level teams from Northern Nevada, California and the Western Region throughout he summer. This provides the opportunity for players to further develop and enhance their skills – while bringing high-level baseball action back to the Capitol City.

Updated Nevada Bighorn Baseball information may be found at http://www.nvbighorns.com/ (official website) orĀ the Bighorns’ Hometeamsonline website.

If you’re looking for the Reno Bighorns (the NBA D- League team), you can find them at theirĀ official NBA D-Team page or their (unofficial?)Facebook page.

If you came to this site looking for information on Nevada’s magnificent Bighorn Sheep, you’ll need to be more specific. The Desert Bighorn Sheep are a small and extremely-endangered population adapted to fluctuating temperatures and low-water environments. The Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep are also endangered, and definitely more like classic mountain goats — i.e., bring your rock-climbing gear and snow boots if you’re going to Bighorn country!
